Take a tour through Eastleigh's past and discover what life was like in the 1930s and 1940s, at this fascinating museum. The history of Eastleigh, a small but busy town on the outskirts of Southampton, is documented through displays, exhibits and videos, while Great Britain in the 1930s and during the Second World War is brought to life using the example of the Brown family and through the recreation of a Victorian terraced house, complete with authentic furniture. There is also plenty to see for steam locomotive fans. Special art exhibitions are held in an adjoining room throughout the year. Free admission.
