A Total Dump
Everything you want in a hotel... if you want peeling paint in the halls and rooms, dirty carpets, bad plumbing, horrible TV reception and poor lighting used undoubtly to mask the overall grimness of the facilities. The first room I was given was so grim, I immediately callled the front desk and ask for something better. What I received was something a bit larger but equally dirty. I am by no means a clean freak but I do expect a certain minimum standard of clean to be maintained by a hotel. This place was so outside an even low grade standard of clean that I could not wait to get out.

Got to stay here at least once!
This is a 5 star hotel. Yes rooms are small but it's a historic hotel so it's expected. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location if you want to see Boston. We let them park the car and didn't get back in it until we checked out. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breaksfast buffet was great and service was first class. Beds were awesome. I was disappointed that they charge for internet access. That should have been included. I would love to go back.

Don't understand the high ratings...
Ordered a room with two double beds which was confirmed the day before. Received an extremely small room with one full-sized bed. The hotel was full, but they still refused to refund our money to allow our group to find another hotel. So, we had to squeeze a cot into the room. In addition, this visit started with the valets telling me that the ski rack on my Subaru wouldn’t fit in their garage and that they were too busy with the incoming wedding to park my car in their back-up garage. So I had to park it myself and walk 10 minutes in the pouring rain. I was completely unimpressed. The location and history are obviously stellar, but there are much better options nearby.

Great location and comfy bed
The staff and the location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic. The staff was always smiling and extremely helpful. They definitely went out of their way to make sure that we had a great time. We were close enough to walk to many locations and were right next to the T for farther trips. It's a beautiful and historic hotel, although I would not recommend putting more than 2 people in a basic room. The hotel was built a very long time ago back when people were a lot smaller, so although everything is comfy and clean, the rooms are probably a little smaller than some people would expect. However, it was just fine for my boyfriend and I. Parents with children should upgrade to a suite. We will definitely stay here again next time we return to boston.

Highly Over-Rated Hotel
We had three areas of very poor service: 1) Our reservations were not held correctly, even though we paid 40 days in advance. Further the manager would do nothing for us to make up for messing them up. Bascially, we just got a "I'm sorry we messed that up, but tough luck." 2) Housekeeping could not seem to keep our room stocked. Had to call for coffee, sugar, creamer and other things that housekeeping forgot to leave. 3) The service at the Last Hoorah (restaurant) was so slow that we twice had to get up and walk out without receiving our orders. Once we waited 20 minutes and never got our slice of cheesecake. (How long can it possibly take to serve cheesecake?) Another time we waited 20 minutes and never got our four glasses of soda. (Again, how long should one wait for a drink-only order?) The rooms are extremely small. The centralized location is pretty much the best thing this hotel has going for it.

Charged too much!
Charged over $370/night for 4 people. Gave us the smallest room they had. We felt like sardines in a can. It was a beautiful hotel and the service was very good. The location was close to every thing historical. Perfect with no car or if you have one they have parking. Still feel like they charged to much for the room they gave us. (outragously high for off season)

I would never stay here again!
This hotel was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I've had better experiences at a motel 8. The staff is especially rude and incompetent. To top things off, the rooms are pretty much closets.

Highly Disappointed will not return
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Omni Parker for our 1 year anniversary. The room was extremely small not to mention the bathroom having no space to towel off. Housekeeping did not come to our room. When we returned from dinner the room looked exactly how we left it. I called for turn down service and NO fresh towels were placed in the room. My favorite part about my stay was our check out service. The bell boy was extrmely nice. I only wish their front desk and housekeeping were the same. I must also mention that their were dirty room service trays of food in the hallway all day long we left in the morning and when we returned they were still their. I am highly disappointed especially considering the price we paid. The Onmi Parker however does have comfortable beds and yes it is in a great location to walk to attractions. Location great service not great at all.

Great location at an affordable price
The staff were phenomonal and the hotel itself was beautiful. The location alone is enough to merit a great review, and while the price was steep for my budget, I thought it was worth every penny. The only thing I didn't like was that our TV, although new-looking and probably expensive, did not always work properly (ie, the volume would randomly get louder and then softer in the middle of shows and commercials). But since we didn't spend much time watching it, it wasn't a problem.
