The worst customer service
Extremely bad customer service and rudeness. The hotel is beautiful but I would not stay here again. The management made our stay very unpleasant and a month later they charged us again for our rooms using the credit card details I had given them when we made the reservation! I do not recommend this hotel.

Bad Customer Service, Bad Hotel
We would never recommend this hotel. Management is not customer-friendly. Most reviews of this hotel cite experiences and problems with questionable management similar to ours. If you book this hotel and don't find it satisfactory, even under bad conditions, you won't find anyone sympathetic or concerned!

Fine choice
The location is at the foot of Pont Neuf just a ten minute walk from the center of the city (Place Capitole) and quite near the city metro. Many buses available too. The staff is very nice and helpful. It can be a little noisy on the street depending on time and day of the week. The seafood restaurant on the river side of the hotel is very popular and very good and quite expensive. My only complaint was the musty smell from the fiber mat covering the floor (no rug) which I found unpleasant. Beware mosquitoes which come up from the river in season -- no fault of the hotel. Great bathroom/shower. Nice size room. Price is no bargain but not ridiculous either. Book well in advance as it is very popular.

Great Location
Stayed in this hotel in early Sept 2005 it was freindly and clean, the service was great the staff spoke good english, it was situated in a very "arty" type place very close to all the sights and places of interest, would definately go again and could recommend this.

They put the "louse" in Toulouse 2003
The hotel itself was a very pleasant surprise. It's location was spectacular. First impressions were all very positive. In the evening we ate at the wonderful restuarant below the hotel, situated on the bank of the river. The biggest surprise came when I woke about 3:00am feeling that I was being bitten by small mosquitoes, if only that had been the case. I went to the washroom, put on the light, and found myself covered in bed bugs. When I went back into the bedroom to waken my wife I found that, not only was she similarly covered, but the whole of the bottom part of our bed was covered with my blood. As we both have an aversion to being a low part of the food chain, we showered quickly, carefully shook out our luggage, and spent the balance of the night sitting upright in the reception area. In fairness to the owners, it is an old hotel and perhaps this kind of thing is to be expected in old European hotels. Certainly it seemed to come as no great surprise to the management.
