Poles either love it or hate it. However it is a spectacular structure and offers the best view in Warsaw. The towering Palace was built in the 1950's as a gift from Stalin to the Polish nation and stands 234 metres high with 3288 rooms including three theatres, a swimming pool, a museum and a congress hall for 3,000 people. It took only three years to complete and was finished while surrounding areas were still in ruins.
