This is one of the classiest bars around town, not least because President Tarja Halonen has often hired it out for functions, and apparently likes it very much. This bar is unfortunately not among the cheapest in town. Private functions are often held here, but on nights when there are no functions it is a chic alternative in this area between Hakaniemi and Kallio. There is a lot of space here for almost any kind of function (weddings, parties), with even enough room to fit an orchestra. The staff is very professional indeed but not at all officious or snobbish. They serve whoever happens to be there with the same friendly attitude. The place is to be recommended, but be aware of the prices before you go; you could spend what could easily be a small fortune in a very short space of time.
