Spread over 70-acres within Mohawk Park on the northern edge of Tulsa, the Tulsa Zoo is home to over 1,500 animals. The beautifully landscaped paths provide views of tigers, elephants, bears, chimpanzees and many other species. Animal demonstrations are scheduled throughout the week, and special seasonal exhibits are also presented, such as "Wings of Wonder," an aviary filled with thousands of rare butterflies. The zoo also features a children's zoo and many educational exhibits relating to zoology and the natural sciences, such as the North American Living Museum, making it a favorite educational trip for children.
