Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 23 2007 Pity the poor orang utan There is a lot of construction going on, obviously for further improvements. The pandas look happy, the tigers and panthers were great to observe but I was very disappointed with the orang utan enclosure and the poor animal looked bored out of its skull. Overweight, it's hair hanging in dread locks and nothing to keep it amused except humans throwing food at it. It's a disgrace to keep an animal in such obvious misery. Send it to Sabah rehab!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 27 2007 Improvements are wonderful I visited here the first time in June 2004 and it was pretty ordinary are far as zoo's go.
Reviewed by: Kimbo_2221 from on Jan 29 2007 Great time My son and I visited in April but it was VERY hot for us. The Zoo seemed to be built on the side of a mountain.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 10 2005 Spacious zoo on rolling hills I always approach zoo's in developing countries with some trepidation, but this is a spacious zoo that sprawls over wooded hills on the edge of town. The interesting collection of animals is reasonably well exhibited. The new panda exhibit is a separate admission price. If you get tired of looking at the animals, watching Thais watch the animals is great sport too.
