Back to Georgia's Stone Mountain State Park Awesome Trip! Stone Mountain is awesome very magistic and interesting.Great views from on top of the mountain. The ride up to the mountain was exciting.A must see when your visiting Atlanta.Very Hot day better to go very early or later in afternoon.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 26 2009 It certainly has changed... I've always loved Stone Mountain and will continue to return on Special Occasions. That said, my recent experience was considerably less than spectacular. While things like 500 guests waiting in line for the train around the mountain is not that bad, the fact that they've been running it for years, and it was a Saturday night, should have been a clue to planners that a second train would have been nice. POP pricing probably influenced the decision to run only a single train.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 05 2007 I want to go this summer. I have been to this place twice on family vacations and it has been fun both times. I know everyone says it is fun for everyone kids and adults, but I know some people out there are wondering if their teenagers like it too. Let me tell you they do, I know this because I am a teenager they may pretend they don't but they do, I mean who could not love their awe inspiring views. I want to go again and again. I think I am going again this summer and can not wait!
Reviewed by: KelseyT from on Jun 08 2007 Great weekend family getaway! I liked the family friendly atmosphere. There is a good assortment of entertainment options for all ages. Swimming, hiking, riding the train and the gondolas, riding the"Duck" vehicles, shopping, picnicking, riding the steamboat, golfing, and interactive crafting opportunities in the village. At night you must watch the laser show/fireworks show. We went during Christmas Break and also got to see the "Snow Fairy" make it snow nightly in the village. (Sound cheesy, but kids in the south thinks this is the greatest thing.) This trip is good for a weekend, but probably not more than 2 days. The Stone Mountain Inn has spacious rooms at a reasonable rate.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jun 01 2007 Fun Family Atmosphere Rich in southern history with a breathtaking views from both above and below this huge stone nestled in the side of the mountain. The laser show at night is a definate must-see. Amazing what they can do with those lights. I can't wait to get back there as I'm sure it has gotten even better since our last visit. Check the calender provided by the web-site for the many different events they have going on at all times of the year.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 04 2006 So much fun for everyone! My husband and I visited in June 2006 and had a wonderful time. It's best to buy the all day pass, and it is worth paying the extra $7.00 for the Ducks ride(Do it first)! We didn't have kids to bring, but I noticed they had so much for children there, they might not last to the breathtaking fireworks and lasershow in front of the memorial at 8:30. There was so much to see and do, it would be hard to fit them all in to one day, just to get you excited, here are a few things you must enjoy: Summit skyride, train ride, Wallendas Family show, Extreme Canines show, Ride the ducks(kids get quackers, and to drive), pedal boats...and there is so much more!
