Back to Doi Inthanon National Park It's a Nice Place We had joined a tour trip to Doi Inthanon. That's a nice place,I can say it is the most beutiful place in Chiang Mai. You can see fresh flowers, fresh air, clean enviroment as well.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 26 2006 Don't miss it! The drive up there alone makes this a hugely rewarding trip. Then when you get there you'll be confronted with stunning views of the mountains and clouds below. This is where I proposed to my girlfriend (the answer was yes!). Then be sure to stop at Vachiratharn waterfall on the way down. There'a a permanent rainbow there (when the sun shines) and a restaurant which serves the best food you'll get anywhere. There are very few tourists - just local people having picnics by the water.
Reviewed by: Dan from on Dec 06 2005 Nice short walk If you have a day or two, you'd better try a 2 hour walk called GewMeaParn. It is an easy walk. Entrance is about 100 meters past the pair of pagodas. However, you must first contact the NP office(the place with a wide grass lawn located about 3/4 way to the top. You won't miss it).
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 21 2005 worth the trip Bring a jacket in October onwards. Lovely scenery and worth the day trip. Some nice waterfalls to visit as you descend and a great restaurent in the park that sold local food. Ask your guide to look for it.
Reviewed by: Big Ern from on Oct 30 2005 High life It was a fun experience driving to Thailand's highest point in Mid-December. Brrrrrrr it was freezing and I have the photo's of frost covered plants to prove it! If you go be sure to get there before 7am. The views are spectacular and thankfully there are a couple of places to get hot coffee!

Not very touristy, which means, you don't have to squeeze among the crowd....as there are not many crowd anyway!
