Back to Jan III Sobieski Hotel Poor value for money This hotel is very over-rated. It is not 4 star quality - rather a low 3 stars, max. The service is curt and generally unfriendly. The hotel messed up our booking and put my husband and I into a room with 2 single beds instead of one king bed. We waited 1.5 hours for the hotel staff to "prepare" a new room for us, during which time we were not permitted (for unknown reasons) to go to the new room to put our luggage away. Instead we were stuck waiting with all our luggage. There was no apology from the staff for the incorrect booking nor for the long wait. The hotel is HUGE and was not at full capacity, but there was no explanation given as to why we had to wait so long.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 02 2008 Not worth what they say Hotel is absolutely not a 4 star one. Rooms were large and clean but not luxury, corridors were dirty and hotel had seen the best days years ago. It is located in the middle of nowhere and only one restaurant Grand Kredens (excellent) nearby. Concert of emergency vehicles starts at 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning even in the garden side rooms you hear it, lasting one day continuously until 10. Hotel staff is polite but only afew speak english, they are not ready to help you. Two mornings our wakeup call never came.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 26 2006 First Visit This hotel for its price is very, very nice and very comfortable. The rooms are immaculate and staff are very personable. My stay was extremely comfortable and with the expert service my travel was less stressful.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 08 2005 Avoid this hotel! I have stayed here twice; on the first occasion our reservation was wrong, on the second it was lost; the reservation staff are hopeless. Avoid the web site, the rates quoted are higher than those available and the reservation confirmation is meaningless; furthermore, the hotels facilities are misrepresented. Service is generally poor, particularly in the bar. Rooms are bland and unwelcoming. Double beds are NOT available, despite the hotel's claim to the contrary. One both occasions I was overcharged; also beware being quoted rates in Euros but being charged in Zlotys!
