Marriott must have turned a blind eye. The trip to this hotel left much to be desired. Curtains bolted open (being a highrise hotel the sun comes in the windows very brightly), bell hops bringing luggage on a occupied elevator (several guests were in the elevator), and holes in the sheets were not an appreciated amenity after a long day of travel. The good news, there are many nicer alternatives available for guests who require quality.

Won't be back
The lobby was ok. The hallway was dingy and dusty. Bathroom was not clean and room had a musty smell.

Chattanooga's Best.
This is a great place to stay when visiting Chattanooga. Great location for downtown and Lookout Mtn. Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was very nice. Free trolley stoped write outside of hotel. Would defenitly stay here agian. Booked on priceline and saved $40 a night. Name your own price.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been in
Except for the lobby, and the front staff, this place is a poor excuse for a hotel. I am amazed at the grubby run-down condition of the rooms, and lackadaisical attitude of many of the staff members. When I went to take a shower, I discovered that there were hairs on the wall and tub, and to my horror, the shower curtain liner was covered in mold. (Not the only cleanliness problems.) They did bring a new shower curtain, but so much about the room was seedy and not clean that it was creepy. (To be fair, the bed was comfortable and the linens were clean.)

What a great job
I really did love this place the second time I went back because they had the most softest pillows and beds that I had ever laid on. As soon as I layed down, I went straight to sleep. The rooms was really clean and service was real great. I just cant wait til I come back with my church family for another great place to sleep and for another concert at the Convention Center.

OK stay at the Marriott
Got a very good deal bidding through Priceline, but I would not pay full price for this hotel. Although the lobby was elegant and the elevators really cool, the rooms really need a makeover. The wallpaper was peeling, the furniture was chipped and the bathroom was not the cleanest. Although it is several blocks, walkable, from the downtown attractions, it is closer to a not so nice section of town. A very aggressive woman approached me and my young sons asking for money about two blocks from the hotel. If you are paying full price for a hotel, there are much nicer, newer hotels for the same price that are more convenient to the downtown attractions. If you bid through Priceline, you can get a great rate at about half the rack rate, and that would be the only time I would recommend staying here.

Never again
From the moment I arrived I was extremely dissappointed. The valet personal was too busy parking cars for the event next door than for the paying hotel customers. They had no one to unload luggage and the rooms were a step above a Days Inn. Seriously outdated. The outdoor pool was on top of a roof surrounded by a wooded fence, which happened to be my view! On top of all that they had a fairly empty hotel yet found a way to put someone directly next door. Nice touch. With all the choices I had in Chattanooga I picked the wrong one!

I will go back
I really enjoyed my stay at hotel. My husband said that the front door was not very tight because he heard everything in the hall way. other than that he enjoyed his stay.

Was Hard to Leave
I was at the Chattanooga Marriott Convention Center celebrating my friends' 30th birthdays. The 14th floor room was very nice with a great view. The service was friendly and quick and the ultra comfortable beds made it hard to leave the hotel. I can't wait to be able to stay again even though I live in Chattanooga.

Many experiences here
I have stayed at the Marriott Convention Center many, many times over the years. When a problem comes up they are very helpful and on top of it right away. I did have a booking problem once, but with my first call they fixed it and was appologetic. The restaurant is good, but pricey, but I love the Omlet bar cooked for you to order. The restaurant is convenient to most downtown attractions and the free electric shuttle stops both ways between the Aquarium and the Choo Choo........I take my family back often.

Stay away!
The walls were paper thin. We weren't in the room for 5 minutes when we heard the entire converstaion next door as a gentleman ordered chicken strips from room service. They also had a baby who cried often and loud during the night. The beds were smallish (full size) and not comfortable at all. We awoke after our 1st night tired and stiff. We called the front desk to get another room but was told none were available. I asked for ear plugs but was told they sell them in the gift shop. The breakfast buffet was mediocre at best and the server was a space cadat who did not provide drink refills after being asked several times. There was a mob at the omelet bar and people often took other peoples orders. There was also a strange smell (ala a wet dog) wafting from the buffet food area itself. The final straw was the homeless man who lingered outside the lobby as I was smoking a cigar. He tried to hit me up for some cash an was around for 45 minutes hassling me and other patrons before finally being asked to leave by security. Overall and adventurous stay but not what I had in mind and surely not what I paid $119 a night for!
