Back to Clarion Hotel Great stay for family! Booked 10 rooms for 3 days for my family of 22. Rooms were excellent. Staff was best ever. No problem (we created) they didn't handle! Made our stay one of the best reunions ever. We booked one handicap suite for 88 yr old Mother which worked well as a gathering spot for all. We spent a lot of time in the hotel.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 11 2008 Loved it!!!! Our stay was the best ever. We have been to Chattanooga at least twice a year for the past 11 years. This is the first time we have stayed at the Clarion. We will be staying there from now on. The staff, rooms and service was the best we have ever had.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 14 2008 A diamond in the making The Chattanooga Clarion was simply the best hotel I have stayed at in the downtown Chattanooga area. I travel to Chattanooga quite often for business and have stayed at the Clarion's competitors on several occasions. The staff is beyond friendly! When I checked in, the desk clerk was friendly and informative. My room was clean, well lit, and well designed. I understand the hotel is undergoing renovations, but it didn't affect me one bit. Overall, it was a great experience and I will DEFINITELY be back!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 03 2008 Good Deal! Nice Room and Nice Price! Everything was very easy and clean. The hotel is under construction/renovation but it was not very noticeable and didn't hinder our vacation. The upgraded rooms were fantastic. One word of warning, the room rate does not include the parking fee per night which was $7/night. There are also several taxes to consider so after taxes and parking, it was an additional 20% to our bill. The convenience to the attractions and restaurants were wonderful so you could walk to just about everything. Enjoy!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 30 2008 Power was turned off, we will not stay again!! When we were checking in the hotel clerk did not inform us that the electricity would be turned off from midnight to 4 am on the last night of our stay. After paying and unpacking our luggage, he then told us that the power would be turned off. He gave us a tiny discount on our room, however if we had known that the power was going to be turned off we would have stayed in another hotel!!! It was very hot and uncomfortable in our room and we will not be staying there again! There are other hotels in Chattanooga with good locations that would be better than this dump!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Apr 28 2008 We just made reservations for our trip back to Chattanooga We checked in about 11:00pm. Checkin was quick and the front desk clerk was helpful.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 05 2008 Best hotel stay ever! The hotel is being renovated, so, from the outside, we had our doubts. However our room was new, the lobby area was gorgeous. By far the most attentive, helpful hotel staff I have ever dealt with. I will not stay anywhere else in Chattanooga from now on.
Reviewed by: Jody from on Jan 21 2008 Don't stay here! The staff and manager were rude and unhelpful. The hotel is going though renovations and the new rooms are not abailable for rental, you have to pay an upcharge at the front desk. Everything is old and dirty and loud construction noise. I would not stay there until it has converted to a Doubletree Hotel.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 03 2007 Very clean huge room My boyfriend and I stay in Chattanooga due to a death in his family. We arrived very late. The staff seemed very niceand friendly. The check in was fast. The room was older but was very clean. The location was close to everything in downtown Chattanooga. My boyfriend loved the complementary breakfast.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 23 2007 Don't go there!!! When my husband and I got married (04-01-2007), we decided to go spend a couple of days in Chattanooga. We wanted a nice place to spend our short honeymoon.Unfortunately we booked a room with this hotel on-line.We booked a room with a king-size bed, a refrigerator, and a microwave. When we got there at 1:30pm, we were told there were no rooms clean just yet so we went to the Aquarium. When we got back to the hotel, our room had two full size beds, no microwave, we were informed that a refrigerator would be an extra $10.00, and then we were told parking in THE HOTEL parking lot cost us $7.00 per day.And we SURE didn't ask for that huge spider to stay with us.DON'T GO THERE!!!!!
