The Museo Bodoniano is located on the top floor of the historic Palazzo della Pilotta. It is entirely dedicated to the work of the typographer Giambattista Bodoni who ran the ducal printing house from 1768 onwards, turning it into an international typographic center and bringing the production to an elevated level of quality. The museum houses the old equipment used, including the stamps, the original stencils, and the alphabet cases of the Stamperia Reale (the same ones which are still used today to print works of particular prestige). The most prestigious work is the 1808 Greek edition of the Iliad because of its rarity and its age. Admission is free; guided tours available by reservation only.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York! Experience New York At It's Finest!JustClickLocal.comAlaska – it’s HOT!
