This restaurant is a Kraków favorite. However, it is often overlooked because of its location inside the Hotel Pod Różą. It's definitely worth finding, though: the food is excellent and the atmosphere is wonderful. The restaurant serves excellent Italian food and a wide variety of pastas as well as some more rare dishes such as rabbit. The carpaccio is tasty and the desserts are delicious and beautifully presented. Both the food and the wine are reasonably-priced considering the restaurant's magnificent setting and its location on Florianska Street. Indeed, Amarone may well be one of Kraków's best-kept secrets. The hotel itself is something of a landmark on Florianska Street, as well as being a fine hotel. The tables are in a courtyard covered by a glass roof, which in itself is almost reason to visit.
