Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 18 2008 great trip I thought Merida was a great relief from the humidity of the coastal highway route to get there. Teleferico was what you expect- a great trip. alert: It's 15,000 feet at the top so take cold weather gear- it's a glacier at the top! NO sandals/shorts..this is serious elevation!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 24 2007 It was fab!!!! I went as part of a months trekking and the cable car was definitely a great experince. After being in Merida for a few days we took our bags and walked upto the cable car at 7am and had breakfast on the roadside. We got on the cable car which was spectacular. the views were great and there was information at each stop as to how cold it was and how high you were. The views of the changing environment were breath taking. On the way back down we only went back down one station and then walked the rest which was really good, as we camped in the clouds. Although Venezuela isn't a holiday destination , you should visit and go on the Teleferico!!!

I can't wait to go back. Love it...
