Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 27 2008 Fun! My boys, ages 6 and 9 loved this place. There is a lot to do for this age. We spent about 5 hours exploring the exhibits and I think that we covered about everything the boys wanted to see. We did see the 3-D Imax movie about sea monsters and we also saw the presentation about the constellations in the planetarium. The 3-D Imax movie was awesome, but some parts were scary for very young children, in my opinion. Overall, I think that children will like this museum and the parents for the price that is being charged.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 18 2008 Too much comuter-based "interactivity" We heard so many great things about this center, but were actually rather disappointed when we went to see it. With some notable exceptions, they seem to rely rather heavily on computer-based "interactivity", rather than hands-on. When we were there, there were very few staff workers, and only two seemed eager to explain anything. Unfortunately, only one of those two seemed to understand the science behind what was being displayed.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 06 2007 Fun for Kids of all ages! My daughter recently went to the Science Center for a school fieldtrip. We had a blast! So much to do and see, and even more to learn. The kids never got board. The staff is very friendly, and cater to the kids. Put it on your list of things to do!!!
Reviewed by: Holly from on Jun 24 2007 Great place to explore for family We visited the center last summer (2005) and after more than 3 hours of exploration, we still felt that we were only half way through. Most of the exhibitions are hands on - things that you could touch and experiment. My son was one and a half year old then and he had a great time - there are so many things for him to do at each floor. The only thing he didn't enjoy was that 3-D movie since he didn't want to put the glasses on. If you have kids under 3, maybe it is best not to pay extra for the movie ticket just yet. But adults would enjoy it for sure. The kids room impressed us both adult and kid. My son spent a lot of time there. It is a great experience for the whole family - consider the words is from a former New Yorker who has been some of the best museums in New York. Looking for a great day for your family? That will be it.
