Sulphur Mountain Review
We hiked up the mountain, which was extremely fun, since we decided to go straight up and skip a few of the switch backs. The view from the top was great and the Gondola ride down was interesting.

Magnificent!
The Gondola was just a short walk from our Rimrock Hotel, which has a fantastic view. The view from the Gondola was even better. An absolutely unique site.

Labor Day Weekend 2007
A must see experience while in Banff! We didn't hike up but the view was absolutely breathtaking. We also enjoyed the big horn sheep at the top!

Used to ge a great value
Sulphur mountain has an excellent view of the surrounding area. It used to be my favorite place to take friends as we slogged our way to the top and took the Gondola down. However, I haven't gone up ever since they started charging money.

Fun but...
Its a bit expensive but the view at the top of Sulphur Mountain. If budget is an issue, I would recommend just driving to the top of Mount Norquay ( 5 min outside of banff) and checking out the view of the town and vermillion lakes from there.

Breath Taking!!
We went for our honeymoon in November, 2005. We loved it because it is considered off season and nobody was there. We had the place to ourselves and it was beautiful there. The layers of fresh snow and views of snow capped mountains were truly gorgeous!! The only thing we were disappointed about was there were no animals. We saw tons of animal tracks but no live animals. They must have been hibernating. It was amazing there...We can't wait to go back!!

Bring money if you hike up and want to ride down!
The hike up Sulphur Mountain was just right for my family (including a six year old). It can be done in about 2 hours if you're all in decent shape, but parts are quite steep and the trail is narrow at points. (I'm afraid of heights but somehow managed to do this hike. It was a bit dicey for me at times.) We went in May 2006, before the supposed "busy" season, and I can confirm that they do charge for the gondola ride down (something like $12 for adults - kids 5 and under free). It snowed and hailed when we were at the top, and that was pretty kool. Bring an extra jacket.

Nice place
I liked this even though I was a little afraid of the bears below and it was really hard finding one but I liked it.
