Great Experience!
Food was great! I had goulash but sampled friends' food as well. Good portions. Its always fun to say you ate at the oldest restaurant!

Beautiful experience
When we entered this old building, we were quite amazed at the impecable cleanliness of the entrance rooms, restroom facilities then the dining areas. And even though they were busy decorating for Christmas, it was absolutely beautiful. The food was great, service could not have been better. We loved the whole experience. And to top it off, we were entertained with lovely piano and vocals of The Sound of Music!

The perfect evening
We attended the Mozart concert at Stiftskeller, and it was wonderful. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The concert was extremely enjoyable. (You can't go to Salzburg and not listen to some Mozart.) Overall it was an incredible experience, and I will definitely go back when I return to Salzburg.

Feel Like Royalty...and pay for it, too.
Studying in Salzburg my dining expirinces are usually at Indigo, the local fastfood chain. However, for my 21st Birthday my father gifted me with money to dine with a friend at Stiftskeller St. Peter, the oldest restaurant in Europe.

Salzburg dining
I came here with my high school choir my Junior year, and we were able to get a really great discount. The ambiance in this restaurant is absolutely incredible and beautiful. We were able to eat here for a much lower price than average, but I would still recommend it.

A must repeat!!
A friend and I went to Germany/Austria to shop the Christmas Markets. On December 18, we took a train to Salzburg, specifically to eat at the restaurant (we had made reservations before we left the US). I highly recommend it. Not only was the atmosphere fantastic, but the food as well. We felt like royalty the entire time. I will never go to Germany/Austria again without making a special trip to the restaurant.

ambiance good service very poor
very attractive keller - but we went in prebooked at 8.30 pm - my wife and I - the staff were clearly tired and it was nearly 1 hour before we received any food. We were seated in the room at the far end which seemed to be for the 2 tables - no atmosphere - everyone talking in whispers - one waitress serving about 10 tables - in the end we had 2 courses and left - not a bad place but many better - douglas rae

"What a fantastic Evening"
We had been to Salzburg three times previousley, but only for day trips this time we had arrived for a three day stop over with our friends Elisebeth & Clive and realy wanted them to enjoy as much as we have on our previouse visits. we were not let down, The moment that we entered your beautiful resturaunt everything was 10/10 the music playing, the meal setting, the frendly service, and most important the food 10/10 can't say better. Hope to be back next year

Great atmosphere
The atmosphere walking into the restaurant was quaint and the setting was more and more beautiful as we walked deeper inside. The downside was the lack of ventilation and slow service.

Would do it again!
We were amazed by the service we received and the food kept coming. We were with a group from Fisher who gave us a short walking tour in the rain and then took us to your historical site...what a hidden treasure it was.
