Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 12 2009 The Lap of Luxury in Chattanooga I initially stayed at the Mayor's Mansion Inn while on business in Chattanooga. A friend who had attended a Christmas wedding at the inn and couldn't stop talking about it! Raving about the food, the service and the setting. So I had to try it for myself. I have been back three times since that first visit, most recently in August. The staff at the inn is always so helpful with recommendations for places to eat and even arranging for a last minute manicure. The inn itself is spectacular, the rooms are large and luxurious with the most incredible beds. My favorite room is on the second floor overlooking Vine Street and has a jetted tub big enough for two.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 12 2006 Bad Business We recently used this place for our daughter's wedding reception. Although the food and service was good and the house beautiful, once we made the initial and rather large down payment, they went up on their estimates every time we went in to meet with them. From the initial estimate to the final payment, the entire costs doubled. I would not recommend them for such an event as their are equally beautiful places in Chattanooga that offer the same at a much lower cost.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on May 19 2006 Premium property meets expectations We made a last minute reservation for the Rising Fawn Suite. This property was built in the 1890s and has a lot of history. It's a beautiful house located next to the UT-Chattanooga campus. We ate at Tony's in the Bluff View art district. Great wine list by the glass...enjoyed the lasagna.
