Perfect place to spend Memorial Day
My husband and I went on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Somber but beautiful. Heartwrenching, but heartwarming.

Touching, even for non "history buffs"
I'm not even into history... AT ALL. But my husband and I were going to Hawaii for our honeymoon, and when you are flying from the Eastern US the whole way to Hawaii, you gotta go to Pearl Harbor while you're there. Seeing all the artifacts, hearing the stories on the headphones, and seeing the oil bubble up was just touching. Its hard to imagine living through that, but being there in the middle of everything makes it easier.

A Day of Awwwwwww
I went there as a very young lady. I can remember the boat trip over and how quiet everyone was. We were listening to the guide telling us of the story of what happened here on the day so long ago. He was so good at story telling that you could almost see it happening around you. As we arrived at the memorial things were dead quiet. The memorial was so beautiful. The was a wall with the names of everyone on board the ship when it was blown up. There were flowers and wreaths on the floor in front of the wall. Some names had ribbons on them. Then in the middle was a open view of the smoke stack that still had oil leaking out of the wreckage after all this time. I thought that was just talk but it was true. I saw it myself. Kinda spookey knowing that men that served our country were trapped in the ship just feet below where I was standing. Then to look out the window and see today war ships. Goose bumps were on my arms. Very very cool place. Highly recommended.

A necessity to visit!
A place to remember. Movie is sad. Worth the money. Remember! It's in the history. In my opinion, this is only good for young adults and above. Young kids doesn't really realize the importance of this place yet plus you really have to be quiet at all times.

Piece of History
We spent the better part of the day here and really enjoyed it all. Do go first thing in the morning to be ahead of the crowds. Really brought WWII history home to us. Do take the tour of the Bowfin sub - amazing, and the USS Missouri.

Amazing
Pearl Harbor was so touching and really nice. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I would highly recommend getting there as early as possible to fight the crowd. Going with a tour bus would probably help you manage you schedule efficiently.
