We went here on someone's recommendation. The food was pretty authentic, but we were shocked by how rude the staff were to us and our kids. It ruined our meal and I wouldn't recommend this place after that!

The service in this place is terrible. It took us about 25 minutes to get the attention of the waitress who informed us that she was not allowed to take orders. Apparently only the owner's wife is allowed to do this. When she came to our table, she scolded us for not ordering earlier. When we told her our orders, she insulted our taste saying, "You people can't take spicy food, then what are you doing in a peranakan restaurant?" and "You don't know how to order. This dish, Pong Tay doesn't go with the other dishes you ordered." We were a little annoyed at this time but kept our cool and went on to ask her for her recommendations, to which she reluctantly did.
