Ka Jok See - The Ultimate Tourist Trap
If overpriced, mediocre food, accompanied by oldies music is your thing, rush down immediately to this epic tourist trap. The owner's simple method is to "make relations" with all the hotel concierges around the island. And guess what - when you as a hotel guest then ask that same concierge about the best, coolest and hippest "original" Thai restaurant, guess what he will tell you. It's his 30%, after all - not to mention the overpriced hotel car he will recommend to bring you into Phuket town (45 minutes away from all major hotels) and back. The most telltale sign is that when entering the place, all you see is tourists, tourists and more tourists. Not a single Thai local, nor any of the over fifty thousand expatriates living on Phuket will ever step foot in there. Think about that, and then eat elsewhere. Your stomach will thank you. Oh yeah - bring lots of cash - the place doesn't accept cradit cards either .....
Would you recommend this to a friend?
No

Why? / Why Not?
Lots of much better Thai Restaurants on the island - RAYA in Phuket Town for example, or SEA HAG in Patong Beach, SILK etc etc.

Best Thai Food Ever!
When we were told by our hosts that we were going to a Thai restaurant in Phuket, I thought "oh, how original! (sarcasm)" The host was apparently a regular for he ordered nothing but a string of appetizers washed down with endless glasses of Kanonkop (S. Africa). I must say its the probably the BEST Thai cuisine I had ever laid tongue on! The entertainment was superb with a whole repertoire of waiter-turned-dancers, and a "Liza Minelli" who Milli-Vanilli-ed 'his' performance wonderfully. Before long everyone, intoxicated with drink or simply the atmosphere was frolicking on the dance floor. Marvelous, Must Go location if you ask me, a 15 year Phuket regular.

A wonderful evening full of Surprises!
I have to tell you, it was my third time visiting Phuket’s Laguna area. I was taken to dinner at Ka Jo See! It was a wonderful evening full of surprises. The food was great, the people were fun people and we had a excellent time. I think everybody has to try Ka Jok See in Phukettown. If you like good food, fun and a dance, go to Ka Jok See!

atmosphere vs. food
The ambience is not for dinner but for a celebration. The drinks and the dancers come out late in the evening and they get you all dancing and singing. It is no longer a restaurant.

Well worth it...
I lived in Phuket for four years and Ka Jok See was one of my favorite places. I remember going there as a teenager with my dance teachers daughter and dancing the night away after a fabulous/lavish meal. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is beyond wonderful. There are places that are lower in price on Phuket, but this is by far one of the best and most enchanting restruants you will ever go to. If there were more than five stars I would give it more. I have enjoyed going to this restraunt since I was 13 until now, at 22.

Great athmosphere
Ka Jok See is unique. While Thai purists may sneer at the food, it has a wonderful athmosphere and if you and your friends want to enjoy the evening and dont mind paying more then this is the place. Incidentally, for most 'farangs' the food is quite good
