What a low rate place! D-
I was very disappointed. The lamp was broken and I needed light to do my daughter's makeup for her wedding. They never fixed it or replaced it. The housekeepers were very loud across the hall yelling back and forth. Management would not even call me back after complaining. The bartenders at the TGIF inside hotel were wayyy cool and nice and the Starbucks were the only thing good.

Front Desk
My friends and I took a trip to Austin for my birthday. The rooms were really nice but the front desk was horrible. I work at a hotel and know the system extremely well. The front desk gsr had no clue what she was doing. I asked for our bill to be split up since there were 3 of us staying in one room. She couldn't do this for some reason when i know for a fact she could. I work off of the same system she does and i know it was possible. She was truly unwilling to do her job. The was rude and not very understanding.I will never stay there again.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever
I had the worst experience I've ever had at any hotel at this one. I booked my brother and his new wife a suite the night of their wedding and my other brother booked a couple of rooms for us and some friends. First, they confused our reservations. Heaven forbid two people with like last names make reservations for the same night. Second, while checking in I asked the woman at the front desk if they validated for parking and handed her my parking ticket, in the confusion of their screwing up our reservations she never gave it back to me. When I remembered it later and went down to pick it up, instead of giving me back my original ticket, they gave me a "Guest Parking Pass" and charged my bill $15 extra. I argued that it would have been nice to be warned about such a high parking price when making the reservation and they simply said one should expect it downtown. The next day, when leaving, my brothers who arrived at the same time paid half as much for parking using their original tickets. I got charged twice as much because I bothered to let the Radisson staff know I was their customer than if I had been some random person off the street using their garage. I've called to complain and request a credit 3 times and have been thoroughly brushed off by the staff. I have a list of other complaints (room was freezing, ice machine didn't work, soda machine didn't work), but this was the one that crossed the line. Do not stay here! Service is horrible!!

Not Impressed
In town with my wife who was at the APA Congress. In the room key holder it states "A safe is provided for the deposit of valuables". The first day I asked for one,I was informed there were non available.

Austin Gliding Tour
My husband and I just stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Austin and it was a fantastic time. We arrived in Austin on Friday, 2-23-07, upon arrival I was looking for a fun activity before my husband's work responsilities. A Radisson employee meantioned Segway tours, gave us a discount card and we were off and rolling around town on those strange two wheeled machines. We had a nice guy train us how to ride and after practice a different guide (female) took us for a "glide" around the city. This was the best mini-vacation that I can remember so I recommend it to others.

Wondeful Stay
We were in Austin the Beginning of May for a gig and stayed at the Radisson. The great draw - it's right next to the Congress St bridge, and they have posted when the bats fly. This is not to be missed!! 6th street a short walk away, good food in TGIF, Starbucks in the lobby [oh yes! YUM!]. HUGE room, sleep number beds.....definately will stay again!!!

Thumbs Up!
My parents came in to visit and they have travelled all over the world, so they have a lot of hotel experience. I was having a hard time getting a room as the city was pretty full, but finally got one at the Radisoon on the lake. I was a little nervous as knew little about it - My parents LOVED it. They will stay there everytime they come, now. My mother raved about it, and she is generally really picky.

Wonderful
This place was great! TGIF, oh my god, this was good food. The room was spacious and airy, but the sheets didn't seem so clean. I actually thought I saw some pubic hair. Oh well, I like that so I got a great night sleep.
