This is one place where you will never have to dance to Britney Spears, Ricky Martin or Scooter. 16 Tons is one of the first few clubs in Moscow to welcome and encourage Russian groups and progressive bands to play at their venue. Its refined atmosphere can seem a little cold at first, but it has gently persuaded more than a few skeptics to stay for coffee or a drink. 16 Tons brews its own beer, focusing on British-style ales and bitters; they are reasonably priced and pub grub is also available.
