Great for some first timers.
Liked the Wilderness lodge, very cordial and cosy. Had great meals but we only ate breakfast there. Got in the pool 1 time in 6 days, were busy.

Definitely going back!
OK, so we went to WDW starting our vacation on Tuesday, 7/21, and this was the perfect time to go in the summer. The last day of peak season was the day before we arrived, so we got lower rates for the hotel, but all the people who came and paid for peak season were still there, so there were several showings of shows such as Dream Along with Mickey and the night parade, SpectroMagic. Our 8-Day touring plan went like this: Day one and two were spent at Magic Kingdom, day three was at Epcot and an hour or so at the hotel pool, day four was at Hollywood Studios, day five was Animal Kingdom in the morning and then Magic Kingdom at night, day six was relaxing at the pool and going to Downtown Disney, day seven was Magic Kingdom in the morning, Hollywood Studios in the afternoon, and Animal Kingdom at night. On our last day we hung out in the hotel lobby before going to the Magic Kingdom one last time. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge. It was great because we were able to take a boat to the Magic Kingdom - the bus wasn't our only option for transportation. Chef Mickey's was a great buffet at the Contemporary Resort, and so was Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot's Norway pavilion. All in all it was a great trip and I find myself missing it every day. We will definitely be going back!

We Can't Wait To Go Back!!!!
Disney World in Orlando is the best vacation we have ever had.....i have no complaints at all about it!!!!!!! We stayed at the Pop Century Resort. I would recommend staying at the park because the part of never having to drive again for the whole trip was worth it.

a birthday to remember
it started off a little rocky when there was a miscommunication between disney and our travel agent but after my mother the LAWYER called we got alot of free stuff and were free to enjoy the magic. every cast member was extremely nice on my birthday because they took the time to wish me a happy b-day. I went right after the christmas/holiday season and I suggest coming this time because the christmas decorations are still up, the temperature is perfect for anyone that is sick of winter weather (although people were staring I was able to wear shorts -- I'm from PA so maybe it's just me...), last it wasn't too crowded - I was able to make last minute reservations at the French restaruant. The negatives are if you go as a teen group they do not treat you with respect. At dinner they stuck us in a corner and had below par service while other adults around us got decent service. Also, they ignored my brother's attempts to fix a problem and went so far as to say to my mom over the phone, "You can't speak for him. He's not a minor anymore." needless to say my mother was able to get respect by replying, "I may not be able to speak for him as his mother but I can speak for him as his lawyer." Overall it's a good place to visit if you come with adults but if you come with only teens then expect to find fun but maybe not the respect/service you expected or deserved.

I LOVE it
I went during the Holiday season, and it was AMAZING, one of the highlights of the visits was the Osborn Spectical of lights in MGM Studios. It was the coolest thing ever! We had walked though it in the morning and never even noticed all the lights that were covering the buildings. MGM is my favorite park because of the Tower of Terror, and the Lights Motor Action show was great. The transportation of Disney World is crazy great! If you stay at a Disney hotel then you get to use their boats (best thing ever) and when you can't take a boat you get to use their buses. It was totally worth staying at a Hotel on campus. Epcot was very fun, but I was only there for one day, and you definatly need more than that. It is more of a park for older people, but I enjoyed purchasing an Epcot passport and getting a stamp and something written in the native tongue. The extra little things that are kind of secrets of the park, like the talking trashcan, the leaping water, the backwards waterfall, and the Coke samples. In the coke building you could try all the different flavors from all the different countries. It was the coolest thing! Just one warning: The Beverly--I think its from Italy-- is really bad, I know that just makes you want it more, but make sure you have a new cup handy so you can choke down a different flavor after you spit the Beverly out all over the person next to you. But hey - to each his own. I live on the West coast so I didn't go to the Magic Kingdom because that is what is at Disney Land and I go there often enough. At first we were not going to go to the Animal Kingdom, but once we got there we decided its worth a try. We got in an hour early- another perk of staying at a Disney hotel, extra magic hours- and rode Expedition Everest 5 times before even the people not staying in park arrived. Don't be afraid of the long line- there is sooooooo much to look at and the line moves so fast. One last little tidbit is on the boardwalk there is a little ice cream diner, and you can get the kitchen sink i cream sundae. It is like 9 flavors of ice cream every sauce imaginable, and every topping down to the 10 cherries on top. It was so HUGE! Deffinitly come hungry, and with more than 3 people. Any ways all in all it is a GREAT place to go for all ages! Don't forget to do your research. Look up secret facts about DisneyWorld and you will have a great trip filled with the tips and secrets of Disney.

I think Epcot is still my Favorite Park
We drove down to Disney World the second week of July 2008. It rained a lot but kept temps down during the day. Had a great time but missed out on some of the normal fun due to the weather.

Loved it!
We stayed at a Country Inn off of International Drive. The location was perfect for us, as we were less than ten minutes from Disney AND close to restaurants and a variety of stores, to include a Wal-Mart. This made it easy to reload our cooler with sandwiches and snacks for the backpack we took to the park each day. My family also liked that our hotel was close enough to walk to the many restaurants and “bargain gift shops” on I-Drive. We elected to have a rental car and stay offsite for our first trip to have more control over the price we paid per night. While we got a bargain rate of $63 per night, we got no more than what we paid for (no frills). The carpet in our room needed a serious deep cleaning and the room had a damp, closed up feeling to it, but the bedding and bathroom were clean. Also, my family had no plans to camp out in the room for long periods of time. We were there for fun in the parks, and only planned to head to the hotel for midday naps and at the end of the night when we were just too tired to get on another ride! The biggest perk of our hotel choice was a fantastic free breakfast in the mornings. It offered everything from giant Belgian waffles to yogurt and cereal, so all of us started off with a full breakfast each morning and my husband and I only had to pay for lunch, dinner and occasional snacks.
