2009-01-01 to 2009-12-31
A country's prosperity in the bygone times can be understood better by taking a look at its numismatic treasures. The Collection of Coins, Medals and Memorabilia in the UST Museum of Arts and Sciences also throws light on the political scene through a display of medals with many past Presidents, brave soldiers and others making an appearance. See also some beautiful sculptures and memorabilia kept on display. The exhibit is open for viewing from Tuesday to Friday.

Though the museum of the University of Santo Tomas was not formally founded until 1870, its extensive collection was initiated as early as 1682, when the university started gathering plant and animal specimens for the instruction of students of natural history. As expected from such a long history, the museum houses some rare antiques and relics, including the country's largest ivory crucifix and specimens of now extinct plants and animals. A must-visit for anybody interested in the natural sciences, anthropology, history, art and culture.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
