Back to Royal Palms Resort Great resort and spa Awesome experience. Great rooms, property, service, clean and friendly. We stayed there over the labor day weekend. We were treated very well.
Reviewed by: Jeffrey from on Nov 08 2009 Exceptionally Charming I am staying at the hotel and this is my third night here. The grounds are majestic, like stepping back in time. The staff are wonderful and call you by name. T Cook's restaurant was delicious and I could not be happier with this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special, romantic treat.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 05 2008 The best service in Phoenix The resort itself is beautiful and relaxing but the real gem is T-Cooks. The service, food and setting are one of a kind. The service I received in the restaurant rivals any 5* experience that I've had the pleasure of enjoying in other restaurants. The service staff went above and beyond my expectations. The food was on par with any fine dining establishment. The resort is one of the most beautiful that I've ever encountered.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 25 2008 Mediocre The hotel setting is lovely. The food at T. Cook's is average for a restaurant of its class. The service is pretentious. It is especially terrible at T. Cook's. Overall, The Royal Palms was a big disappointment.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Dec 08 2007 Obnoxious and offensive service The place is awesome to see, but the staff, especially in the dining room, seem to think that it is sophisticated to be condescending to guests. It isn't. It is simply obnoxious and offensive. I'll never stay there again nor refer anybody to the hotel or restaurant, T. Cook's. It is really a shame, since this is certainly one of the most lovely hotels in the United States.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 02 2007 Not A Real Destination Anymore This used to be a real jewel. The hotel has recently undergone some extensive renovations and the hotel facility and restaurant are still truly beautiful. However, the staff, particularly in the Royal Palms restaurant (T. Cook's) have become arrogant, unpolished and seemingly disinterested in being a "real" haute restaurant. Unless the Royal Palms gets its priorities straight, I fear it is destined to become a hotel that caters to the "Prom" crowd that is only interested in ambiance and is willing to sacrifice quality service. I hear that serious foodies and travelers (e.g., Robb Report readers) are already taking this place off their list of places to visit and dine.

The staff are wonderful and accomodating. The restaurant was delicious, the pool relaxing and wonderful, and the spa services excellent.
