Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 10 2007 Ariel for grat food, great entertainment in the old Jewish quarter of Krakow I had a ball at Ariel - the food was very nice - hearty and fresh. But the thing that makes it so wonderful is the entertainment - the group that plays there does a mix of old Polish and Ukranian folk music and then goes into a second act of some of the best klezmer I have ever heard. This is a very interesting part of the city - it was the heart of the Jewish quarter of Krakow. There are some lovely old synagogues, as well as an old cemetary. The memories of WWII are strong here, and there is a feeling of heartbreak in the atmosphere - but this is an area that is on the rebound. Discovering its roots and proudly sharing them with the world.
