It had been many years since we have gone to LCS, we had expected a quick trip to satisfy our need to get out of the house, with three kids!! We had a blast!! The drive through the safari was fine, the ostriches are very thourough getting the bugs off your car. We got there at feeding time around 11 a.m. so all the animals were out by the road. After that we got to feed giraffes! How many people can say that! I had to go back a second time, the giraffes are great and they allow you to pet them and there is a young giraffe who is very playful and he will try to lick you, that was fun to watch and the kids thought it was hilarious. They have added a water play area for the kids, I had seen kids from 6 months to 60yrs playing for hours, bring a bathing suit, if you forget you can purchase one there although they are a little expensive. These are some of the other things we did while we were there paddleboat, petting zoo, fed the lorries and some other small birds(watch the little ones though, my 2yr old was bit) small ferris wheel jungle boat, fed the stingrays(this was fantastic, once you get over the fact that you have to stick your hand in the water with stingrays and you have shrimp attached) this was also one of my favorites. The food is a little expensive and the 20oz bottles are $2.00 each, the admission fee is a little on the high side we had 2 adults 3 children over 2 and one 2 year old and a coupon for $4.00 off per person(available on their website) it cost us $92.66. but I have to say it was totally worth it, we were there allday, I have the sunburn to prove it! And the animals seem happy everything is clean and for the most part the employees are pleasant, quiet but pleasant.

The drive through the park was just ok...there were "some" animals out, but maybe just a handful. When we got to the water park, the kids were all excited to in the fountains, however they needed "swimmer pants" to go run through the water fountains! I can see if it was a pool, but not a fountain. They asked us to leave...we were the only ones there! We went to the petting zoo area so the kids could pet the animals...there were none there, nor anyone around to tell us when they would be there, so we left there. We went to the gift store, they were closed! We left the park VERY disapointed, and a $45 waste of money. I work for a resort in the area and recommend Lion Country Safari to the families that come...that will come a halt right now!

There was nothing we disliked. It is a great oportunity for you and your family to come face to face with animals you see only on books or TV/movies. We take our grandchildren there at least every six weeks and have never been disapointed. It is a great value!. After you see the animals, you can spend the rest of the day having fund in the park. AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!!. Food is just ok, but you can bring your picnic if you want. It is one of our favorite places, it will be yours too.

This is the zoo you must see. You drive your own car through the middle of 15 rhinos; you see zebras crossing like they would be sheeps, and a lot of animals just like it was in a savanna! Its a wonderful experience and afterwards theres a small theme park alike area, where you must visit the birds cage and buy a small bucket of food for a dollar and half. Kids will love it. Take a full day for this, and go for a second round of the safari area.

Great family place, as well as a great place for anyone that loves animals. Been there last year going back this year. Price is also right.

I've been to Lion Country Safari several times with out of state visitors, and always have a great time. Once we were (more or less) charged by a rhino; another time we couldn't move because a giraffe was standing in front of our car, nibbling on the antenna. A great way to get close to nature and see wildlife outside of cages. When you're done there's an area to visit on foot...alligators, food, various exhibits....and don't miss the Lorikeets. They're very colorful Australian birds who will perch on your shoulder to have a sip of the nectar that LCS sells in tiny cups. Enjoy your visit!

So of course I loved the drive. The price was a little steep, but in my opinion it is worth it. If you haven't taken the trip, you should.
