Located on a half-mile white sand stretch lined with coconut trees, Nisbet Plantation is how one imagines a dreamy Caribbean haven. It is situated on the northern reef protected shores of Nevis. Hammocks dangle between the trees, waves lap rhythmically upon the sand, couples stroll hand-in-hand along the beach. An expanse of green lawn runs from the old Great House, now the hotel's dining room, straight down to the beach. Off to the sides are the modestly charming cottages that belie the interior's luxurious bathrooms and furnishings. Expect to slow down a few gears. Leave the cell phone at home and relax by the beach bar or the beachfront pool. Enjoy the mouth-watering lobster sandwiches and breathtaking views of St. Kitts across the channel. Rates are seasonal. Be prepared for an eighteen percent room tax. The Club also hosts a number of the December Nevis International Culinary Heritage Exposition (NICHE) events.
