Nice enough city with historical and cultural sights but the political situation is just too chaotic. I would give this country a miss for a couple of years.

I've stayed at Pool Villa and it made me feel like home. Two nights was too short for me. I wish I could have longer time. Their service was great and the place itself was awesome. Try it yourself!!!

Frankly I'm abit surprised by the disappointing review. The spa villa was a palace of seclusion and tranquility. The food from the moment we walked in to when we checked out whether buffet style or specially cooked was incredible. We didn't want to leave. It was heaven.

We had our honeymoon here in October, 2006, and the Banyan Tree completely blew away our expectations; it was the best honeymoon we could have ever asked for.

service! COOL, EXCELLENT! all staffs are well trained n well mannered, even the gardeners u see when u walk pass certain places. The villa makes me feel so homely, so comfortable, every little thing u need, like a mosquito coil.. u can find it..

This is the flagship Banyan Tree and I have stayed here a number of times. My stays have always been enjoyable, even if I were staying in the smallest garden villa.

I had high hopes for this resort, after my experience at their Bangkok hotel. The facilities were great, but I found other aspects of my stay disappointing. The food I had at their restaurants was average, and I certainly expected a higher standard with Banyan Tree's reputation, and of course prices. Over my stay, I also found the service to be sometimes slow and impersonal.
