Back to Trattoria Sotto Sotto Snotto Snotto I never actually ate there. My wife and I went there to celebrate my birthday. We had an 8:30 reservation but left by 9 after it was clear that no table was forthcoming, and a desire to escape the growing angry crowd. There is no bar, or place to sit, so we stood there, halfway into the clothes closet. The restaurant is small, I mean claustrophic small, not intimate but uncomfortable. Low ceilings, crowded, noisy - I don't see "romantic" at all. Maybe beautiful people (self-absorbed is more like it)but no hospitality and an every night ritual of greedy owners who over book and under deliver. Let's concentrate our money on people who care about their customers.

While the food was quite good, the service was abysmal. We should have been tipped off when the waiter kept pushing us to order wine (which we eventually did), but at the end of our meal, they seemed overly pushy to get us to leave. The busser even went so far as to leave the new tablecloth (for the incoming group) folded over an extra chair at our table!

There is no bar to wait at and they kept saying it would be 20 min more... was withanother coupke and my 9 month pregnant wife they made her stand for an hour and a half as they kept seating other parties after continuing to tell us "your the next table". Once we were seated service was good, food was very good but had to yell to have conversation among 4 people 2 feet away from you.
