Archeological Finds and Cultural Displays
Tu-Su 9a-5pSee the Archaeological Treasures on display at the National Museum of the Philippines. Pottery, spoons, plates and burial jars tell the untold story of the life in this part of the world, some two thousand years ago. Some of the earthen jars are in the form of human figures and are believed to have been used for burying the dead! Check out this and more at the permanent exhibit in the National Museum of the Philippines.
The permanent exhibition titled Prehistory of the Philippines (Pinagmulan) is a journey back into the times that can only be described in terms of million years. The journey starts from the formation of the Philippine archipelago and moves through the Paleolithic and Neolithic era to the somewhat familiar age of the metals. See the luxury goods of those days, things like glass and pottery! Check out the boats and other trading equipments that are on display.
