The Sporgasse, named after the numerous weapon-smiths who used to have their shops here, must have been an attractive spot for beer connoisseurs; once there were 22 local breweries with adjoining pubs in this street. Today, this steep alley offers countless shopping opportunities, but one should not fail to look above the shop windows to see the beautiful facades such as that of the art nouveau house No.3 (The Hirsch Apothecary, founded in 1564 and still existent today) or indeed the copper fountains on house No.13. The Arkadenhof belonging to the Deutsch-Ritterordenhaus (House of the Knights' Order), a typical medieval building, is also worth a look.2 ¢/min and up – call home from over 100 countries!http://travel.comfi.com/Best Value.
