4 people eat alone
For the many places i have eaten while on a 2 week holiday this was definitely the worst experience by far for the price. My mother, father, partner and myself watch each other one by one as our meals were seved singley over and hour and half. Sadly, their were 2 lobster dishes and 2 squid dishes the same but still they came out separately 20 minutes apart. The service was terrible with no friendliness, seeming too busy to show a happy vibrant atmosphere. One meal needed to be sent back as it wasn't what was ordered... after finally watching the last meal being served and eaten we politely complained about the food and service with what we thought was fair? A hurried apology was given in passing followed by a plate of fruit. So the bill arrives.... hahaha!! there was a service charge of 250baht? I politely asked the manager if we were paying this for good service and he says 'yes'. I then asked him how he could charge this given our experience?? He in no way sounded polite, friendly, sincerely apologetic but agreed to remove the service charge.... Do yourself a favour, there are many great seafood restaurants at patong beach, this isn't one of them!!! The place has far too many tables for the staff to handle.

What a tourist trap
There's no getting around it: Savoey is nothing but a tourist trap. No service to mention except maybe the wine guy, the food is bland and the place is packed and way, way overpriced. I agree with the above - Kan Eng @ Pier is much better. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Savoey - for the same price you can dine like a king elsewhere - and with waitresses and management who actually do some work instead of copping a bad attitude.

Savoey is quite nice. But i think u guys should try the new super nice venue and seafood at "Kan Eang@pier". The venue is amazing and the food is 100% fresh. They also have lots of Live seafood!!!

Won't go back ever again!
The food is ok but the service sucks big time! My family of 5 went there for dinner upon our arrival. Paid more than BHT5,500 for food and drinks, no alcohol or dessert. We wanted our fresh lobsters steamed but they grilled them instead. We accepted the food but the manager offered no apologies nor appreciation. The bill took ages to arrive. Again, no apologies as they just dumped it on our table so much so that we didn't even notice it came. When we left the premises, there was only one service staff at the main entrance who shouted "thank you". To be frank, we weren't really sure this was addressed to us as he didn't look at us at all!

An old favourite
Admittedly I am not a fish lover as such and generally go for shellfish or the Thai dishes. This is an efficiently well run clean restaurant, the food is very good, although they seem to have changed the red thai curry on this trip, it was so hot and a dry curry, last year it was served with the coconut milk curry type sauce, which was hot but edible!

You'll know the seafood is fresh
Almost everyone who ventures to Patong beach for seafood dinner would have heard of Savoey. You can almost guarantee that the food will be fresh as surely they must keep ordering for the many many people eating there. It is HUGE with indoor (air-cond)and outdoor dining. Vast array of seafood on display where you get to choose which crab, fish, prawn, lobster, clam you would like. With each sea creature you have chosen for dinner, you get to the choose style of preparation ranging from steamed, deep-fried (all styles - salt and pepper, garlic and pepper, etc.), with even more choices of different sauces, oven baked, barbecued, and the list goes on.

Dissappointed!!
Every year, for 8 years we have come to Phuket, and every time we go to the Savoey, generally just once!! Maybe we go in hope that the food and service may have improved. The food is bland. The service was scarce and at times rude. The atmosphere is busy, busy, busy and the value for money would be on a par with most restaurants. Two concillations - the "fresh" oysters are yummy with the condiments and finally, the beer is cold! I don't think we will waste our time or money next year! I would rather eat at the stalls behind the Thai Boxing down Bang-la Road!!
