The Ice Hockey Museum, located in the Museum Center Vapriikki, is the biggest of its kind in Europe - the Finnish equivalent to the well-known Hall of Fame. The popularity of ice hockey in Finland keeps growing, and the media keeps turning young players into stars. In the Hockey Museum, however, the emphasis is on the rich traditions of the sport, illustrated by sticks and other equipment, trophies and photographs. Special attractions include shirts and sticks used by stars such as Valeri Harlamov, Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.
