In the Anatomic Museum the human body is shown in bits and pieces. The collection was founded by the renowned doctor and analytic C.G. Jung. The construction of the human body is here explained by means of original preparations to both non-experts and medical students. Beside modern exhibits, there are rare wax models from the 19th century, sections and most importantly the world`s oldest preparation: a skeleton made in Basel in 1543. Special exhibitions, that are not only for professionals, give an insight into various fields of anatomy. Note: Due to the nature of its exhibits, this museum is not for the faint hearted.Visitors in a wheelchair are asked to make an appointment.
