Shake it up
We had breakfast on Sunday morning which was below standard and although the waiter was good the food took ages. The pool bar was pathetic they never even had glasses.

KNOW UMHLANGA VERY WELL
I lived in the area and worked at hte sands resort before immigrating to the US. I know Umhlanga very well and will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay right on South Africas favourite beach. Another option is Cabanna Beach Resort. Some prefer it.

my second home
Umhlanga rocks is like my second home. I would rank Umhlanga sands hotel as number 1, Cabana Beach as number two and Breakers as number three. For a family with toddlers, kids, teenagers, adults and the elderly; there is always something for everyone!

This hotel is a dump but nice location
I went to this hotel/resort for the location. It looks very nice for families who do not care so much about the amenities and are there for the beach.

sun, fun and romance all week!
we went in peak season, so the beach can get crowded at times. But the water was warm, not like the chilly Pacific I am used to!
