The Woody creek tavern is always busy! They have great barfood and a great ambiance. hard to get a seat though. Even though it's NEXT to the trailer park it really takes nothing away from the place! I never miss a trip there when visiting Aspen and Glenwood Springs. The bartenders are very friendly! ( I am lucky to live in Denver so I can make a trip to Woody Creek whenever I want!

This sweet little establishment was Hunter Thompson's public meeting place for decades. But there is no Aspen-like snobbishness to found here. Everyone is greeted with a smile, the drinks flow, and the food is reasonably priced.

The food and service were absolutely wonderful despite how busy it was. Those girls deserve a BIG RAISE! They have the BEST Margaritas in all of Colorado too.
