Dudley, to the west of Birmingham, boasts a museum with a fine art collection including many noted 19th century oils, water-colours and prints. It also provides exhibition space for local art groups. Dudley has produced some fine artists of its own, including Shakespeare—Percy Shakespeare (1906-43), who has just been the subject of a major retrospective here.
