Reviewed by: Faucetta from on Jul 17 2008 My Isla Mujeres jaunt I thought it was beautiful! I had never been snorkeling before and thouroughly enjoyed the experience. I loved the little shops on the island--the people are so friendly too! I found some great bargains, got some sun, and got fed by the tour company. I highly recommend it!
Reviewed by: Tamerjin from on Mar 08 2006 Save your money, stay on Cancun The "Island of Women" is nothing more than a dot of sand in the middle of nowhere. The first thing thatr you notice is that there are hardly any shade trees. The boat ride is nothing more than another booze cruise. It's to hot with no shade. You may as well stay on Cancun. Much more to do.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 26 2005 Lifetime experience Probably one of the best beaches I´ve ever seen is located on that Island, it´s named Playa Norte, it was absolutely beautiful, like nowhere else, not a very crowded beach, there was plenty of water sports, and I believe prices were fair, people as always in Mexico are charming, you can rent a scooter, or golf car, etc. drive around the island, you may find mayan ruins, coral reefs, the closest type of virgin beaches, iguannas everywhere, unimaginable blues on the ocean, great mexican and international restaurants and some of them with excellent prices, and the best of all is that you could get to see the whole island within a day, probably not very deep, but you would get to see the highlights.

Reviewed by: Super Beto from on Sep 15 2005 Good break from the bars Take a trip to the island to get away from the Cancun 'strip'. I liked taking a party catamaran which included snorkeling.
Reviewed by: James from on Sep 08 2005 Don't go here This is a total ripoff. The GARAFFON park is a good idea in theory, but if you are an experienced water sports person (scuba, freedive, etc) they treat everyone like children and tourists. They make you wear a life jacket for snorkelling EVERYWHERE on the island. If you DO decide to go anyway, take a ferry from Puerto Juarez,(bus drops off there) It's like 5$ and NO admission fees to the island. Very little foods and not much else to do besides aquatic stuff and sunbathing. AVOID GARAFFON and DO NOT TAKE THE 45-75 package tour the hotels push.
