Nice hotel, but overpriced
I really liked the location and the staff was wonderful but the hotel is looking somewhat shabby. The furniture in our suite was very old and beatup and for $1000 per night I think they could do better.

love the jerome
The location is great and the service is outstanding. After a day of skiing and apres ski, you come back to the most comfortable beds in the world. It is loaded with charm and character. My husband and I have stayed there half a dozen times in the last 4 years and we have never been disappointed.

Nice Little Niche
The Hotel Jerome is the hotel to visit if you're staying in Aspen, Colorado. First of all, it is the most beautiful hotel in the city, as they preserved their hotel beautifully. It is one of the oldest hotels in the city, and there is no wonder why.

problems
I stayed at the Jerome for several days in January 2003. The staff was exceptional. The rooms great. The "J" Bar, although small, was lively and the staff friendly. The restaurant was exquisite. The only reason for the poor rating was because the hot water was shut off for several hours in the afternoon. This was done without warning or explanation. I was just glad this did not happen in the middle of my shower.

Jerome
I have visited this historic hotel on a number of occasions and it has always been a great expierence. The staff are professional while being personable and engaging. The food, especially the braised lamb shank, is excellent. If you go to Aspen I recommend the Jerome.
