We entered the park via the South 89 entrance and went to see thesunset crater. The lava rocks were awesome. The 1 mile rim tril was easy. Wethen drove north to the monumnts. Because the sun was seting we did no see the ruins.

Awesome!
This monument has several well-preserved ruins spread out in it, all of which you are allowed to walk in and around. They are awe-inspiring, as are the desert views from them. Even in September, the heat was oppressive, however, so dress light and carry water!
