Back to Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs Wont ever go back! I had called to make reservations at the Hyatt for a weekend to swim and relax. I asked the girl who made my reservations about the pool and jacuzzi. She told me there pool area is beautiful. I figured since its Hyatt Suites, it would be a really nice and upscale hotel. We arrived and found out the pool and the hotel were being renovated. I was really offended because i had specifically asked when making reservations and all of a sudden we arrive and theres no pool!! She told me that Hyatt guests could use the pool at the Hilton which was not convenient for my family at all. They told me we would have complimentary breakfast to make up for the renovations. The next morning, my family showed up to their cafe and the waiter told us that the coffee and orange juice are the only things included in the complimentary breakfast and we would be charged for any food we ordered. Everything about our weekend at the Hyatt was misleading. As if that weren't enough, we found out that we would have to pay $14 a night to park at the hotel parking lot. We ended up spending way too much money on a hotel room with dirty floors, dirty walls, and horrible customer service. We wont ever go there again, not even after they fully renovate it. Biggest disappointment!
Reviewed by: mardt from on Aug 10 2009 Great deal and location Hotel is currently renovating so they gave me a great deal. $75 for the room with choice of internet, free breakfast or 2,000 Gold Passport points. I went with the breakfast which was fine for continental. The room was big but very old. However the rate was great so that made up for it. The noise was loud around noon but at night it was quiet, no construction at night. I got to look at the new rooms during my stay and all I can say is that I doubt I'll ever find $75 for this place again. Every room is being renovated and they are all suites, so I expect it to be about $200 - $250 after it's done. Good stay!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 07 2009 Total Dump I am shocked that a Hyatt would have their name on a dump such as this! The place looks like it has not been updated since 1975 and I am not being funny! When we checked in we walked into our room and quickly noticed that our bathroom had not been cleaned. When I asked for a new room, they kept reiterating that I didn't like the room, I kept correcting them stating all I want is a clean room. If you get a balcony, the view is nice, but the chairs are rusted and filthy. The towels in the room smelled like some strange chemical. The service at the outdoor restaurant/bar was terrible! The pool area is run down and again the chairs are all rusted. The carpet in the rooms were stained. Our friends had to move their room as well, their bed was hard as a rock and the noise from the street side of the hotel was so bad that they were unable to sleep. They did say that the hotel gave them ear plugs! Can you imagine!
Reviewed by: CMB from on Apr 27 2009 Not worth it &would NOT recommend I have to agree with some of the reviews. The bed was old & caved in the middle, found a roach in the bath tub, received bad service at the outside bar, the hotel is VERY outdated, the breakfast buffet is a Ripp off for what is provided(stay away it will cost you $17.50) Great location. Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Nov 05 2008 We will never go back Checking into this hotel was a nightmare and the desk clerk Mark needs to stay in the back somewhere, where he does not have to deal with ANY TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. He as rude not very pleasant to work with.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jan 25 2008 Nice hotel in a rundown town.... Large clean suites with either a town or mountain view. It is to bad that the City of Palm Springs has let their town fall into such a state of disrepair and abandoned buildings. The hotel is convenient to the various attractions around the valley and the weekly, Thursday night craft and food fair is just in front of the hotel. The upscale shopping area adjacent to the hotel is closed and moved down the road to Palm Desert. Despite the areas shortcomings the Hyatt is remains a good place to travel from. Lynn...Nashville, TN
Reviewed by: lynns from on Jan 12 2008 Dirty and a Ripe off! For almost $300 a night you would think you would get a clean room. Nope! There were burn marks on the sofa the dining room table and bathroom were not cleaned, and stains all over the carpet. Not to mention they have an empty fridge in the room, when we tried to bring waters and sodas to the room the manager came right up to us and said "no bringing outside food in the hotel". I have never heard of that before. The room I got at the Best Westen in Parker, Az was cleaner and I was allowed to drink my own pop!
Reviewed by: Whitney from on Jun 07 2007 Not up to Hyatt Standards The location is great. Lobby is beautiful. Restuarant nice, staff OK. The room was horrible other than the size. The carpet was dirty, torn, ripped, and was a safety hazard as you could trip on it. The walls and furniture were shabby and dirty. Very very poor accomadations. Probably the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in. Would never recommend. Needs major upgrading in rooms. Very disappointing.
