Vacation in May 2008
My husband and I loved everything!! This is our third time to visit Snowy Owl. Each time we visit is wonderful, the staff, the dogs. We cannot go up to Alberta without visiting Snowy Owl. We especially loved our walk with Shaman, the wolf hybrid, who Connie says adopted us into his pack. Connie was great!! Thank you for a great wolf walk. Then we rode the ATV with a team of dogs pulling!! This was absolutely awesome. Definitely recommend in the warmer weather. Everyone very friendly, professional, they took their time and really made us feel welcome. We found absolutely no fault whatsoever with anyone or anything. Very positive and fun experience.

The best part of our trip!
We were in Canada for our Honeymoon and this was definitely the highlight of our vacation! This was a wonderful and exciting experience...the staff was super helpful and nice and the dogs were simply great! I would definitely repeat this experience again! Next time, I would do a longer tour though since I think that 1 hour wasn't enough haha...The whole thing takes about 2 hours including transportation to the site (wonderful place by the way) up in the mountains of Canmore and also including the 30 minute instructions talk...and then comes the fun! We had a sleigh for my husband and I alone which was amazing and we took turns driving the dogs...Definitely DO this! MUSH! MUSH!!

Amazing!!
This would be our (Myself, my husband and our 6 years old son) second time dog sledding in the Canmore area. This was our first time going with Snowy Owl Sled Dog Tours. We were amazed that we would be able to drive our own team. The 30 minute instruction on how to drive our dog team was well done and explained to perfection. Driving our team was the most amazing experience and our 6 year old son even had a chance to drive on the return part with my husband.

Brilliant!
Prompt minibus pick-up from my hotel, transported to main office where those with unsuitable footwear had opportunity to kit out. Driven to Spray Lake where other staff awaited, dogs all hitched and ready to go. We were encouraged to interact with the dogs and given clear instructions how to operate the sleds. In places it was necessary to get off the sled and run/push to make it easier for the dogs to pull up the small inclines. However you get a choice at the beginning if you want to stay seated in the sled and let a guide do the driving. If you're not up to a little bit of a run then stay in the sled. I really enjoyed my time here and found the staff were professional in their manner. I went on the 'Powder Hound Express' tour. If I revisit Alberta this would definitely be on my list of things to do, I would chose a longer tour next time.

Hostile staff members
The information that was provided during orientation was in conflict with what I was forced to do while sleding.
