In the early days of Palm Springs, tennis was even more important than it is today. The Riviera still serves the tennis set with deluxe rooms and an array of tennis courts, but it doesn't stop there. This 24-acre resort has a cheerful restaurant, The Grill, a full bar, named The Bar and even its own Espresso shop. All rooms offer oversized beds, and many rooms have outstanding mountain views. In April, the resort hosts the annual lesbian Dinah Shore Weekend event.
