Chef Vincenzo Nicoletti, formerly the manager of Casa Monica on the same street, now owns and operates this fine restaurant. The interior is elegant and spartan with few pictures on the walls and with spare wood tables and chairs throughout the dining area. The emphasis is on flavor and use of local, seasonal ingredients. The homemade pastas are authentically Italian and come in diverse shapes accompanied by a wide variety of sauces. The fish of the day is always a good choice as well. This is definitely a gem in the world of Los Angeles Italian cuisine. There is an extensive wine list featuring Italian and California wines.
