Beyond Price
While I agree Sedona can be costly there are many ways to budget a trip. Seeing the glorious simplicity of the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the magnificent Red Rock area is worth the trip. It is hard to turn around out there without viewing a vista that takes your breath away! While there try to fit in a drive up to the Sedona airport. Pull over at the overlook and fall in love with the country.

Awesome Experience
This place was breathtaking! I took my family, along with my 84 year old Grandpa and he loved it! We will be back! :-)

Breath taking!
Absolutely a must-see! This incredible chapel truly encompasses a spiritual experience for anyone of any faith. It's so sad that such a beautiful place has no services for an even greater spiritual experience. Small weddings would be an excellent service if nothing else . . . please consider Chapel board of executives. tml

THE COST
The city is Sedona is a very beautiful vacation destination, how ever extremely expensive. I would not recommend it at this time as a family destination, as a resident of this town I am apauled at the manner in which Sedona treats its work force. Most of the people who work here are families, who live outside of the city. Not by choice, Sedona Az has a attitude toward families, and feels that those that work here should not be able to live here. A very bad case of not in my back yard syndrome.Fearing that having family friendly housing will ruin the housing market here in sedona... they have for years denied any attempt to build family friendly housing. We are not talking low income housing, but affordable housing for the average middle class family. Sedona fails to realize that with out it's artists, waiters, drivers and hotel staff we could not function...But as the citizen of this city I believe that the rich and well to do are the only ones who deserve to live here , families are struggling to pay the high cost of gas to drive here to work. The impact on these families is out and out unfair, while the city makes thousands of dollars from the tourists who believe that this is a family friendly town. Add to that that for years people have tired to build or buy a facility to open a battered woman and children shelter again Sedona says no, not in our back yard so woman and children in need of help are sent to another facility out side of Sedona. In a nut shell Sedona AZ while beautiful IS NOT a family friendly community, all they want is your dollars to pay for their life style. As much as we depend on tourist dollars I say boycott Sedona Az...and any other city that takes advantage of its work force and take a stand for the american family.

Beautiful Spot!
No negatives to this place! A beautiful and holy spot. One of the highlights of our visit to Sedona! Younger children may not fully appreciate the spiritual aspects of a visit.

Breathtaking!
The Chapel is the most beautiful structure I have ever seen. The contrast between the one colored straight lines and angles of the Chapel, against the multi colored free flowing red rocks is breathtaking. Inside the Chapel, which is very small, I too felt very small. Although I'm not an overly religious person, I was in awe of my surroundings, and to put it simply, felt as close to God as I've ever felt in my life. I didn't want to leave.

God is Awesome
I went to the Chapel in 2002, in July. We were in Sedona to escape the inferno in Phoenix. I hadn't been there since 1995. When we got there I knew it had been too long. At first, we couldn't see it from the road. It blends with the scenery perfectly, but then we saw it, what an incredible sight.

You have to go and experience this for yourself
I can not express in words the feeling that overcame me as I sat inside this Chapel. We lived in California at the time of our visit. Now I live in Florida and still have the feeling of "needing to go back" and experience this BEAUTIFUL and Peaceful Chaple again.

Don't need to return
The architecture isn't that interesting, and I know it was built by a Frank Llyod Wrigt student. Admittedly, I don't like all of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs or his influences. In addition, the chapel destroys part of the scenery and natural beauty of the area by having this large stucture built into the rock.

Awe Inspiring
The Chapel is positively breathtaking. There is no describing the spiritual lift you will get from a few minutes here. Be renewed.
