Personally, I did not get a very good first impression of the ski resort. All of the slopes were icy and they seem ill-kept. On my way to my first run, the Cascade Chair Lift broke. I had to go to the other lift. Although the snowboard park is great and large the other slopes were disappointing.

I have been to Banff 5 times in my life and I am still relatively young and Mt. Norquay is awesome in the summer. It is free and you are guaranteed a great view of the valley as well as some big horn sheep closeups. At the top of the mountain I also saw a coyote and 3 Grizzley bears. A lot of wildlife because it is far enough from town.
