A gem - Once upon a time
My husband and I just returned from a 3-night stay at this Inn. While it was once, I'm sure, an elegant, charming, beautiful gem, it is in need of a major facelift. On the plus side, it is fabulously located - literally across the street from Randolph Macon College, close to a couple of great eating places (one casual, one more formal), 2 blocks from the local library, about 3 miles from Interstate 95. We were told the in-house restaurant was very, very good, also, but we chose not to eat there.

loved this inn!
We went there for a getaway and really enjoyed our stay. The inn is such a lovely addition to the town of Ashland. Charming, comfortable, friendly....the list goes on. We really enjoyed dining on the front porch overlooking the railroad and college. A great overall experience.
